Sulzer GTC Technology has signed an agreement with Linde AG to provide its GT-BTX℠ licensed technology for a grassroots benzene production facility. Linde was selected by PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» (NKNK) to provide engineering and procurement for the new EP-600-1 cracker plant, located in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
The new GT-BTX℠ unit will process a full range C6-C8 cut and will allow Linde to design the plant for the highest yield of aromatics, lowest energy consumption and required process flexibility. The scope of supply includes the basic engineering package, technical services, proprietary solvent and equipment.
“We are pleased to enter into our first contract with Linde AG to provide effective solutions for recovering aromatics from pyrolysis gasoline alongside their modern olefins production complexes,” said Ilya L. Aranovich, Sulzer GTC Licensing Director. “This project will extend our track record of providing leading-edge solutions to improve the economics of naphtha based crackers for clients in Europe, CIS and around the world.”
